Communications & Public RelationsGain invaluable experience in public relations and media communications while getting an inside look at the nonprofit world! Working closely with our Communications Director, you will interface with media and activists across the country and engage in media relations, event planning, marketing and promotion in a fast-paced, dynamic and fun environment. Marketing & DevelopmentLearn how to raise over $100,000, write a successful grant, and expand and maintain the active membership of over 30,000: become a Development Associate at the American Anti-Slavery Group! Working closely with the Development and Membership Coordinator, you will aid in the planning and execution of special events, fundraising, membership relations as well as day-to-day operations. Web & Graphic DesignCollaborate with a talented and experienced web designer on an award-winning website! This is an excellent internship for students looking to work on a professional webpage and use their talent and creativity for a good cause. OperationsWork closely with the Communications Director and Development & Membership Director to manage the day-to-day procedures of this fast-paced and dynamic human rights group.
